#1: Write Your script
- Your script is a CONVERSATION IN WRITING
- It should have back and forth dialog between each podcast host
- EACH PERSON needs to share between 1:30--3:00 minutes
- Each host shares background and facts about their inspirational person and then how they inspire them "They inspire me to work hard....to be creative...to be optimistic...ETC..."

CREATE YOUR PODCAST FOLDER IN WORKSPACE
When you a ready to record, if you're using Audacity and recording directly in it, sit at the computer where you are going to do ALL your editing.
*****Create a NEW FOLDER in the Workspace of that computer and call it your per # and Podcast Files (see left) YOU MUST USE THE SAME COMPUTER AND SAVE TO THE SAME FOLDER from this point forward. ALL of your sound effects, music and your Audacity podcast file MUST stay in this same folder or your podcast will NOT work when you go to open it. |
#2: RECORD YOUR PODCAST
- You can record directly in Audacity OR use a recording app. I used this free app and really liked it.
- I recommend doing a few practice read-throughs with your group reading through your script and try recording it STRAIGHT though (without stopping). This will be much easier to edit. If there are small "mistakes" or little things here or there that are not a BIG distraction, it's okay to leave them in! It should sound like a natural conversation.
- Save your Audio file as an MP3 (unless you recorded in Audacity).
